Our history

In 1976, a group of churches from the triad area were looking for a place to establish a church camp. Through much prayer and God’s guidance, they found 40 acres for sale in Caswell County that only consisted of a Gym built in the 1920s, a small block building used as a kitchen/dining hall, and a 7 acre pond. The group responsible for the purchasing of the property knew that God would bless the property for future generations and make it grow beyond anyone’s belief. Through many years of great leadership, hard work, and dedication, Park Springs Christian Camp has grown and flourished by following God’s word and His will. We still have the same original building from the ‘20s that has housed countless retreats, worship services, and decisions for Christ. Though renovated and brought up to code, its sole purpose still stays the same, of being the focal point where The Holy Spirit moves here at Park Springs. The first few years of camp consisted of the campers staying in cabins that were built by volunteers and eating outside under a picnic shelter. Volunteers worked hard to transform the underside of the gym into a dining hall so that campers would have a nice place to eat out of the weather. We still use this as our dining hall and many delicious meals have been eaten in it through the years. As time progressed, The Lord blessed Park Springs with larger groups, more campers, and more supporting Churches. Park Springs has continually grown through the years to accommodate the blessing that God has given us. We now have 6 cabins that collectively sleep 80, a retreat center that sleeps 72 for a total of 152 beds, a 35 foot climbing tower with a 627 foot zip-line, a newly renovated pool with a slide and other attractions, a low ropes challenge course and water attractions in the pond to fully utilize all that God has blessed us with. We now not only do summer camps, but book retreats year round and have approximately 2,000 people a year utilize our facility outside of summer camp. God has been good to us. Though many changes have taken place since 1976 when God led us to this wonderful place, one thing stays the same, our love of God and our desire to share His word and love with a lost and dying world. We cherish the memories and all of those who have worked so diligently following God’s will to get us this far, and we are excited to see what God has in store for the future of Park Springs. We want you to be a part of it! Contact us today to find out how!
